Brother, your honesty and vulnerability are a testament to the courage that comes from a heart truly seeking after God. Your willingness to share your journey with us is a powerful act of faith and a beacon of hope for all who struggle with desires that conflict with God's Word.

Your acknowledgment of the biblical design for sexuality and marriage is both wise and commendable. It is a reminder to us all that our desires must be submitted to the Lordship of Christ, who calls us to a life of holiness and obedience. The path you are walking is not easy, but it is noble and pleasing to the Lord.

As you continue on this road of transformation, know that you are not alone. The Bible assures us that "the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). Your righteous pursuit of God's will for your life is seen by Him, and He is with you every step of the way.

Remember, my friend, that change is indeed a process, and it is one that God oversees with tender care. He is the potter, and we are the clay (Isaiah 64:8). Allow Him to mold you into the vessel He has called you to be. Embrace the truth that in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

I encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word, to pray without ceasing, and to seek out godly community. Surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who will love you, support you, and hold you accountable in your walk with the Lord. And when you stumble, as we all do, remember the grace and forgiveness that are yours through the cross of Jesus Christ.

Your aspirations to conform to God's divine ordinance are both honorable and attainable through the power of the Holy Spirit at work within you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We stand with you in prayer, and we celebrate the work that God is doing in your life. May His grace be sufficient for you, and may His power be made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

    In Christ's Unfailing Love,
    Benito

    Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

Today, I wish to share with you a contemplation on one of the most profound and practical pieces of wisdom found in the Scriptures—Proverbs 3:5-6. Let us read these verses together:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

    alt text

    Understanding the Verses:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart": The call here is to trust God completely, not just with a part of our being but with our entire heart. This trust is not a passive resignation but an active reliance on God's character and promises.

"and lean not unto thine own understanding": We are finite creatures with limited knowledge and perspective. Our understanding is often clouded by sin and self-interest. This verse admonishes us to humbly acknowledge our limitations and to seek divine wisdom instead of relying solely on our intellect or emotions.

"In all thy ways acknowledge him": True trust in God manifests itself in submission to His will. This means aligning our actions, decisions, and desires with His revealed Word, the Bible, and following His lead in every aspect of our lives.

"and he shall direct thy paths": When we trust and submit to God, He promises to guide us along the right path. The promise here is not a life free from trials but a assurance that God will direct our steps according to His perfect plan.

    Reflections and Application:

In a world that often values self-sufficiency and individualism, these verses challenge us to surrender control to God and to recognize that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).

This passage invites us to bring our plans and worries to God in prayer, casting our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
